The Lead Refrigeration Installer is responsible for leading high-quality commercial refrigeration installation projects from planning through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, professionalism and the ability to lay out and execute refrigeration installations in the field. The ideal candidate must be able to plan jobs, design and measure walk-in boxes, build walk-in coolers and freezers, and perform all other aspects of refrigeration installation while representing the company on-site.
What You'll Do- Lead commercial refrigeration installation projects from job planning and layout through final installation and start-up.
- Design, measure, lay out, assemble, and build walk-in coolers and freezers, including walk-in boxes, doors, panels, and related components.
- Install refrigeration systems and components, including condensing units, evaporators, refrigerant piping, drains, controls, and related equipment.
- Perform brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, start-up, and commissioning of refrigeration systems to manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, equipment submittals, and job requirements; verify field measurements and identify installation needs before work begins.
- Lead installation crews on-site, coordinate work, troubleshoot installation issues, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
What You Bring- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial refrigeration installation experience including leading refrigeration installation projects and crews
- Hands-on experience building, measuring, laying out, and installing walk-in coolers and freezers
- Strong working knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, piping, controls, and installation practices
- Ability to plan jobs, determine material and equipment needs, and execute installations from start to finish
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and customer service skills
- Valid, clean driver's license required
- EPA Certification preferred
