Job Description:
The IRAD Project Owner provides leadership, oversight, and accountability for the VSG Next Generation Air Comms Suite (NGACS) project. This role ensures projects remain aligned with technical scope, schedule, cost, and planned business outcomes.
Essential Functions:
Attend and actively participate in Project Owners Meetings.
Support the weekly project status meeting, ensuring timely resolution of risks, issues, and actions.
Provide monthly updates on critical deliverables, including progress, dependencies, milestones, and recovery actions where needed.
Provide monthly updates to Earned Value Management (EV) metrics and support accurate performance reporting.
Maintain and update monthly labor and material forecasts to support sound financial planning and project execution.
Brief IRAD leadership monthly during IRAD Review meetings, communicating project status, accomplishments, decisions, and outlook.
Lead the annual IRAD proposal-development process, including bid development, EPCR preparation, checkpoint reviews, and related approval activities.
Coordinate with technical, program, finance, and functional stakeholders to maintain alignment and ensure disciplined project execution.
Identify, manage, and communicate project risks, opportunities, resource needs, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
