The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time LEAD PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, NH-0301-03, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) with 309 EMXG at HILL AIR FORCE BASE located in LAYTON, UT. 2026 Salary Range: ($89,508 - $138, 370) / Yearly with locality

This position serves as a lead program manager and senior subject matter expert, researching, developing, and recommending new and innovative corporate policies, practices, and processes. Performs official team lead duties for subordinate employees by mentoring and developing individual members, while overseeing programs, projects,
and mission success.

- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or compensatory hours.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to plan, organize, lead functions, mentor and motivate the staff of an organization.
2. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
3. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
4. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
6. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
7. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
8. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
