About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Lead Product Manager - Technical in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish:
Job Duties: Lead and define product vision and roadmaps across technology components. Determine product prioritization with a balance of near-term deliverables and longer-term investments in technology platforms. Co-lead the Agile scrum team with engineering counterpart to execute product roadmap with clear milestones. Synthesize market changes and technology improvements into actionable improvements for the platform. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the different revenue generating fee types, mechanisms, and payment platform opportunities and convert them into technical requirements for the engineering team. Analyze competitor, and business needs to convert them into technical requirements. Utilize knowledge and experience with Tableau, Kibana, Grafana, Quantum, Fabric to analyze product life cycle and convert into technical requirements, and communicate to all internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with Engineering team to write detailed technical requirements related to the billing system and other technology components. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field plus six years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field plus eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:
  • Experience with XML documents for data exchange and system integration purposes (2 years).
  • Experience using JIRA to track requirements, manage backlogs, report defects, and support Agile project execution across cross-functional teams (2 years).
  • Experience with SQL/Oracle to support data retrieval, analysis, and application functionality (2 years).
  • Experience with business analysis using Excel or Tableau to make data driven decisions (2 years).
  • Experience creating wireframes and prototypes/mockups to visualize user flows and collaborate with stakeholders (2 years).
  • Experience writing business and functional requirements documents along with technical user stories and use-cases (2 years).
  • Experience with road mapping to manage prioritization of product features and improvements (2 years).
  • Experience working within the Agile Scrum framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery of features (2 years).
  • Experience contributing to the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through development, testing, deployment, and post-release support (2 years).
  • Experience with JAVA, C++, or APIs.


Salary: $223,142.00-271,300.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional Details

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
