Lead Platform Engineer

About the Team:
Our team offers secure virtual endpoints to thousands of Capital One and third party associates that are accessible from multiple devices, accelerating business productivity, workflow continuity, supporting hybrid work models, and centralizing data protection to meet rigorous compliance standards.
What You'll Do:
- Deployment, management and maintenance of virtualization platform Amazon Workspaces in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Escalate and drive issues related to support of virtualization platforms
- Join high severity incident calls and lead troubleshooting efforts for a quick recovery
- Identify, diagnose and resolve Windows based desktop vulnerabilities Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate production problems as per operations processes affecting desktop infrastructure
- Work collaboratively with other IT team members to resolve complex issues and implement improvements
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems and services the team
- Train users on software and promote IT policies and procedures
- Engage in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, and system tuning
- Excellent problem solving, oral, and written communications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
- At least 4 years of experience with AWS
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with AWS
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform Engineer
Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform Engineer
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
