This is an exciting opportunity based in either our New York City or Chicago office, with some hybrid flexibility. The Lead People Business Partner will have a significant impact on the company as we continue to grow and scale our global go-to-market motion!

Specifically, you will:
  • Serve as the primary strategic HR partner to the most senior Revenue leaders in AMER providing both strategic counsel and hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle
  • Coordinate and align the work of AMER People Business Partners supporting the Revenue org - providing day-to-day guidance, ensuring priority alignment, and elevating consistency of HR support across the region, without serving as a direct people manager
  • Partner with global Revenue PBP counterparts in EMEA & APAC to align on people strategies, share insights across regions, and ensure a cohesive, connected approach to HR support across the full global Revenue organization
  • Lead talent planning for the Revenue organization, including top talent identification, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce planning, in close partnership with senior leaders
  • Proactively advise senior leaders on organizational design, team structure, and people strategy as the Revenue org scales and evolves its go-to-market model
  • Drive complex, cross-functional HR initiatives tied to Revenue org priorities, including headcount planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management
  • Be both an advocate for employees and a champion for the business, balancing the needs of a high-performing, fast-moving Revenue organization with a strong employee experience
  • Advise and coach employees at all levels using a consultative approach, helping them strengthen working relationships, navigate challenges, and grow their careers at Braze
  • Serve as a connector and amplifier for the broader People team, ensuring Revenue org insights and needs are well-represented in company-wide programs and initiatives

  • An ironclad understanding of human resources best practices, employment law and employee relations
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity as situations require
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders and influence without formal authority
  • A strategic and influencing mindset, with comfort operating in a matrixed, cross-regional structure

  • Experience coordinating or providing informal oversight of a team of HR partner, guiding work, ensuring quality, and aligning priorities without direct management authority
  • A self-motivating, collaborative leadership style that earns trust across both peers and senior stakeholders
  • Robust multitasking skills and comfort wearing many hats at once
  • Comfort working across time zones and geographies, with experience navigating global HR dynamics and regional nuances within a Revenue or GTM context
