Job Duties

  • Under broad direction; provides Level 1 Supervisory and Subject Matter Expertise to lead, guide and drive a designated Payroll Operations Unit, whose primary responsibility is the processing of employee payrolls, which includes HR and Payroll data gathering, processing, accounting, internal reporting, audit, and external reporting and remittance of all applicable wages and taxes.
  • The incumbent is current on changes in prevailing wage-hour and payroll tax laws for all jurisdictions/locations in which Halliburton has operations, particularly as they relate to the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensures adherence and compliance with data security and data integrity in line with confidentiality clauses under the non disclosure agreement.
  • Ensures all business communications are shared with the stakeholders and designated span with process updates and/or insights on specific queries of critical nature.
  • Drives complex projects and required to produce proper supporting documentation related to applicable payroll reports, audits, accounting, and tax filings.
  • Ensures adequate documentation in support of internal controls as directed by the process guidelines are created, updated and reviewed periodically.
  • Responsible for quality checks and audits on analysis, reconciliation, and ultimate resolution of a variety of payroll issues as performed by the processors.
  • Provides recommendations to management on performance assessments, training, development, scheduling, hiring, firing and other employment-related matters for the team.
  • Reviews and validates work completed by junior personnel.
  • Provides support and guidance as a Subject Matter Expert on complex queries and issues to provide resolution to the team and stakeholders.
  • Actively looks to streamline process to drive standardization and efficiency of resources utilized.
  • Provides support to the leadership and team as required with strategic planning to mitigate peak volume bottlenecks, quality issues and people management challenges.


Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience are required.
  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree are preferred.
  • This is a front line management role.
