Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

This role leads the evolution of an enterprise wireless ecosystem to ensure seamless connectivity for thousands of users across the network. Success involves bridging the gap between initial design and high-availability operations to tackle complex architectural challenges and performance bottlenecks. The mission focuses on maintaining a robust 99.95% uptime environment while driving innovation and mentoring the engineering team through advanced technical leadership.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) for critical network incidents through the development and implementation of standardized automated troubleshooting playbooks
  • Take ownership of enterprise network reliability within the first 90 days, focusing specifically on global wireless and wired user access
  • Provide advanced technical leadership and direction to junior team members to elevate the collective data networking standard
  • Partner with stakeholders to design scalable, high-performance network specifications that translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Execute hands-on implementation and maintenance of network projects utilizing lab-tested designs and rigorous validation plans
  • Leverage AI-driven analytics to proactively identify and resolve interference patterns or roaming issues before they impact the user experience

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Deep functional expertise in MPLS, WAN, WLAN, LAN, and VLAN architectures
  • Critical experience managing high-availability wireless controllers, specifically Cisco 9800 or 5508 platforms
  • Professional proficiency in Juniper switching and Mist AI-driven Wi-Fi solutions
  • Specialized ability to support MacOS Wi-Fi roaming and perform professional site surveys using Ekahau
  • Advanced knowledge of SDN and configuration automation via tools like Ansible Tower or Cisco Catalyst Center
  • Demonstrated AI Application skills to leverage machine learning insights for troubleshooting and network optimization

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Network Administration or Engineering
  • WLAN and 802.11 RF standards
  • Cisco Wireless Controllers (9800/5508)
  • Cisco Routing/Switching (9000 series)
  • Cisco Catalyst platforms and protocols (STP, ACLs, Port Security)

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year
