Overview

The Lead Pharmacist for the Meds to Beds (M2B) Program provides operational leadership and oversight for daily program activities, ensuring efficient medication delivery services, exceptional patient care, and strong team performance. This role serves as a clinical and operational resource for pharmacists facilitating workflow optimization, staff development, scheduling, and performance management in collaboration with pharmacy leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day Meds to Beds operations, ensuring efficient workflows, patient access to medications, and achievement of program goals.

Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and serve as the primary resource for operational issues and escalations.

Develop and manage pharmacist staffing schedules, coordinating coverage to maintain service continuity.

Support workforce planning by assisting with staffing and workload forecasting.

Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to pharmacists, contributing to annual reviews and performance discussions with leadership.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, timely patient discharge and medication delivery.

Qualifications

- Education: Degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Experience: 2 years' experience (MBA or Residency in lieu of 2 years exp.)
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Pharmacist License in state of practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
