Lead Mechanical Layout Designer - Vancouver or Calgary

Our team in Canada is growing; we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Layout Designer with experience in the mining industry to join the Team at our Vancouver or Calgary Office.

About the role
  • Prepare mechanical layouts: study level and execution level drawings in line with project requirements
  • Development of mechanical layouts in a 3D environment.
  • Produce layout relevant deliverables such as site layouts, general arrangements and detailed drawings.
  • Deliver design drawings according to project-specific design criteria as well as the defined regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
  • Support proposal managers in providing input into the proposal and estimates.
  • Facilitate and ensure interdisciplinary co-ordination when developing layouts or models.
  • Comply with all Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.


Qualifications

  • Advanced diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering technology
  • 12+ years of experience in Mechanical design drafting;
  • Experience in Mechanical design and layout of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.
  • Knowledge of mineral processing circuits
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2d drafting
  • Prepare and design plant models
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.


Salary range: $90,000 to $120,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
