Job Description

Imagine, design, and develop products as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will collaborate across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams to create solutions which meet the evolving needs of our customers.

This exciting role is designed to allow the qualified individual to bring their years of experience to resolve some of the industry's most difficult challenges. As a leader within the Friction Controls organization, you will be identified as the technical leader for your assigned projects.

Your role will be to support the overall strategic needs of the product line without sacrificing the performance of any individual project.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily use of technical project management and cost accounting tools
  • Technical leadership support for critical development projects including Military and Commercial applications to ensure cost performance and schedule performance is maintained of critical projects
  • Mentorship and development of training materials for junior engineers
  • Cross-departmental collaboration to streamline efficiency on critical development projects
  • Evaluating existing designs/processes for improvements in cost, quality, and producibility
  • Workload Planning and Milestone Adherence

Technical Scope
  • Design and development of aircraft wheel and brake systems
  • Deep technical knowledge of hydraulic and hydromechanical components
  • New product development and legacy product modifications (LRUs)
  • Projects supporting commercial and military aircraft programs
  • This is a hands-on technical leadership role (individual contributor), responsible for leading engineering projects and providing technical direction to supporting engineers.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 10+ years of experience leading mechanical product design or new product introduction programs
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex mechanical systems from concept through qualification and production
  • Direct customer-facing experience supporting aerospace products or systems

  • Solid knowledge of specific product and process technologies or broad knowledge of multiple product and process technologies
