Job Description

You will be the Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3 Individual Contributor) for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) ME team. Our team is responsible for supporting all production activities for the GMLRS program, from line validation and supplier interaction to earned-value management and design-for-manufacturability reviews.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3 Individual Contributor) you will be responsible for driving initiatives that have a tangible impact on program success and ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day manufacturing tasks.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage day-to-day execution and closeout of assigned manufacturing-engineering tasks.
  • Gather relevant data and prepare concise briefs for Integrated Product Team (IPT) briefings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support line validation and earned-value management.
  • Conduct design-for-manufacturability reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Adjust program ME staffing to maintain continuous coverage of all program needs.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in an associated Engineering discipline
- Experience with Manufacturing/Assembly/Production Processes
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to travel domestic and/or international at least 30% of the time
- Ability to interpret drawings, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications and other systems-integration technical data
- Ability to use MS Office tools (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

- Experience in design for manufacturing / assembly or design to cost
- Experience with leading

- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green certification

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
