SHIFT/SCHEDULE: This role operates on the 3rd shift, with a schedule following a 2-week rotating 12-hour schedule-- Week 1: work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Week 2: work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
- The hours will be 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM (12-hour shift)
ONBOARDING SCHEDULE: To ensure a successful start and seamless integration into the team, this role includes a structured 4-5-day onboarding program, typically scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All new employees are expected to complete this onboarding during their first week. POSITION SUMMARY: As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you'll oversee maintenance activities and guide the team in keeping our equipment running safely and efficiently. You'll perform complex repairs, lead problem-solving efforts, and support training across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. Your leadership and technical expertise help us deliver the products people love - with care, consistency, and continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead maintenance tasks and support team scheduling, training, and quality control
- Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs
- Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems
- Monitor and maintain plant systems (boilers, compressors, HVAC, etc.)
- Lead root cause analysis and improvement projects
- Train team members in instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems
- Use manuals, drawings, and technical resources to diagnose issues
- Maintain organized workspaces and inventory areas
- Follow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
- 8+ years of maintenance experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing
- Experience leading teams or mentoring others
- PLC programming experience preferred
- Mechanical/electrical/electronic trade background or technical school preferred
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout your shift
- Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens
- Flexible to work overtime based on business needs
SKILLS: - Comfortable using CMMS and basic software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, or Captiva preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Advanced math and reading skills
- Able to read blueprints and create rough sketches
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools and lubrication systems
- Team-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $40.50*. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
