Full Job Description
Air Force Civilian Service is currently seeking a full-time Lead Logistics Management Specialist to work in the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate, Minuteman III Systems Division, at Hill Air Force Base, near Layton, Utah.
This is an NH-346-03 position (272480). The basic salary range for this position is $76,463 - $110,476 based on Value of Position, which does not include locality pay.
**Value of Position: If your current basic salary is within the band, but above the stated Value of Position, your basic salary will not be reduced if you are selected for the position.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Lead Logistics Management Specialist, in the Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle Branch, supporting the Integrated Product Teams by providing comprehensive expertise across the 12 Integrated Product Support elements and leading direct engagement with external enterprise stakeholders.
DUTIES:
• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization objectives.
• Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization, adjusting to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of tasks.
• Trains team members in problem-solving methods, team-building techniques, and relevant technical or administrative practices.
• Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, serving as a facilitator and negotiator to coordinate team initiatives and build consensus.
• Provides advice to supervisor of significant issues and problems related to work accomplishment.
• Meets with mission partners and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise.
• Performs Working Group Lead functions to organize multiple organizational entities into an integrated and cohesive team.
SKILLS:
• Strong communication, leadership skills and a background in logistics and acquisition management are highly desired.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders to meet mission requirements is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with nuclear enterprise, preferably with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs) is desired.
• Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
• Knowledge in applying the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements is highly preferred
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an Office of Government Ethics (OGE) Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
• Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Life Cycle Logistics "Advanced" certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
