Job Description:
Must demonstrate a strong appreciation of programming and computer science principles and patterns in general.
- Strong in Java / has worked in an Oracle environment
- 6+ years of hands on coding experience
- Very strong communicator and team player
A plus:
- Java Spring, JEE, Struts, Agile, Messaging, Orchestration, Services (SOAP/REST), SOA governance, SSO (Single Sign on)
- Experience writing code against large data sets: 10TB plus.
- Working on the challenges associated with high volume systems
Additional Skillset:
- Lead and mentor some of the talented senior engineers.
- Design patterns for performance improvements
- Hashmaps and collections
- Multi-threading and synchronization
- Specific examples of previous work improving performance of large Java applications
- Database connections and resource leaks
- Profiling and static code analysis tools experience
- Design for high volume systems with asynchronous messaging
- Experience refactoring of code to introduce design patterns
- Classloader types
