JOB SUMMARY

The HSE Leadprovides health and safety support to the PureWest Resources asset in Pinedale, Wyoming. Responsible for performing tasks in a wide range of health or safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization's H&S standards and with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Works under supervision and direction of the HSE Supervisor to ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, quality management systems requirements, and company- wide policies and procedures. Performs tasks that are usually from detailed instructions and established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment applied in the Oil and Gas industry. Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of basic programs, systems, and procedures. Assists in monitoring and preventing H&S incidents and hazards. Works with others to investigate incidents, accidents, injuries, or complaints. Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazard potential. Assists in the development and conduct of employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs. Maintains a working knowledge of technical aspects of regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as single-points-of-contact or coordinates to implement H&S activities that require broad knowledge and experience in order to provide compliance solutions to H&S issues.
  • Supports basic work activities in order to comply with H&S laws, regulations and corporaterequirements
  • Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of basic programs, systems, and procedures.
  • Participates in H&S compliance and management system audits.
  • Responsible for reiterating safety protocols and regulations in the workplace to prevent potential hazards and operational delays.
  • Facilitate training and programs for the employees and inform them of any communications related to their safety and wellbeing.
  • Assists in monitoring and preventing H&S incidents and hazards along with investigation of incidents, accidents, injuries, or complaints.
  • Supports Operations, Completions and Drilling departments including budgeting, special projects and assignments, employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs.
  • Maintain incident tracking database, compliance training records, and contractor management information.
  • Hazard identification and mitigation of broad operational job sites.


HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or other related field, or directly related work experience of 5 years in oil and gas safety operations in lieu of a degree.
  • Ten years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Three to five years exposure to drilling, frac and work over operations
  • Good understanding of production operations in the Oil and gas industry
  • Ability to support H&S compliance at multiple facilities/regions within multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Ability to develop metrics, monitor performance, make recommendations to improve adverse performance trends
