NEX Industrial Supplies Inc. part of the Sentinel group, is looking for a
Lead Hand, Service Technician who takes pride in doing quality work and wants to be part of something that's growing.
Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor Service Technician Apprentices, helping develop the next generation of skilled trades professionals
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors, loading dock systems, and related equipment - keeping operations running safely and efficiently
- Perform on-site welding and fabrication to support high-quality installations and repairs
- Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, and site documentation, including photos
- Take ownership of your tools and equipment- ensuring everything is well-maintained, safe, and ready to go
- Champion safety and customer experience on every job, delivering work you can stand behind
- Support and collaborate with teammates on more complex installs and service calls
- Communicate clearly with both customers and internal teams to keep projects moving and expectations aligned
What you Bring:- 5+ years of experience as a Lead Hand working with loading dock systems and commercial overhead doors
- Hands-on welding experience, with the ability to support on-site repairs and custom work
- Valid, clean driver's license with reliable transportation to get you to and from job sites
- Strong mechanical aptitude - you're confident using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting on the fly
- Comfortable working at heights and in fast-paced, physically active environments
- A positive, team-first mindset with a willingness to step up, support others, and get the job done right
