About the roleThe Lead Hand Mill Maintenance role offers the opportunity to be responsible for maintaining Process Plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient and continuous operation with minimal disruption as a result of mechanical failure at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operations. This role is to recruit for a vacancy.
The roster will be 7 days on and 7 days off (12 hours). Whilst residential is preferred, the role is also open to FIFO and DIDO, with access to our camp accommodation.
We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $130,000 to $145,000 CAD.
Key result areas will include:
- Perform maintenance functions and duties associated with predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Assume responsibilities of Mill Maintenance Supervisor in his absence.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain process equipment.
- Align, level, and install machine sections components and drives ensuring safe lifting procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain various types of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Lay out, assemble and install piping, fitting, valves and hoses associated with various inflows and outflows throughout the plant.
- Lubricate equipment.
- Complete inspection reports, daily journals, equipment logs and technical reports.
- Maintain workplace in neat and orderly condition.
- Work in conjunction with the Maintenance Planning Coordinator when it comes to preventative maintenance issues and specialized or capital work.
- Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation's goal of being accident-free.
- Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
- Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About youAs a Lead Hand Mill Maintenance, you will have a successful completion of a post-secondary institution in Industrial Mechanic Millwright or related trades program. A valid Journeyman Trades Interprovincial Certificate or equivalent is required.
It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:
- Three (3) years to five (5) years experience in a relevant industrial field.
- Solid understanding of the site's inflows and outflows of air, water, solutions, reagents, slurry, and effluent.
- Strong knowledge of the plant's process equipment (e.g., crushers, conveyors, grinding mills, filter, pumps, thickeners, agitators, cyclones, etc).
- Comprehensive knowledge of different lubricants and their uses as they pertain to process equipment.
- Extensive experience using lifting procedures with a variety of hoists and cranes.
- Solid comprehension and ability to read technical drawings.
- Competent ability to work with hydraulics.
- Well-developed ability to comprehend and interpret operations manuals, drawings, blueprints and schematics.
- Strong time-management and prioritization capabilities.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Sound computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office programs with proficiency in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
