Responsibilities

  • Lead fleet technicians in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure vehicle compliance with all relevant regulations and standards through inspections.
  • Analyze crew work orders and vendor invoices to identify repair trends and necessary additional work.
  • Maintain vehicle safety and compliance through preventative maintenance according to MTO and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage inventory parts and order necessary repairs using Fleet Management software.
  • Complete vehicle repairs promptly while adhering to corporate policies.
  • Document repair processes accurately through records and safety inspection reports.

Full Job Description
Reporting directly to the Fleet & Assets Manager:
  • You are responsible to perform lead work over fleet technicians engaged in the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • You will performs inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with all applicable Acts, regulations and standards.
  • You will review crew work orders and external vendor invoices to analyze and identify repair trends or additional work that may be needed.
  • You are responsible for evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required and all in compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines.
  • You will utilize parts from inventory or order parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs.
  • You will complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • You will be servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • You will repair vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), cooling systems, performing radiator repair, replacement of cooling system components, water pumps, shutters, and hoses.
  • You will diagnose, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical and hydraulic steering systems and performs wheel alignments.
  • You will accurately complete a variety of records, safety inspection reports and other documents which are required to ensure that equipment is properly and cost-effectively repaired and maintained.

Requirements

Your Profile
  • You are registered with the STO as 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic or dual Mechanic *preference will be given to dual licenced mechanics
  • You have ODP certification with A/C experience.
  • You have experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
  • You have superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies.
  • You demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • You have excellent proven customer service experience.
  • You have a valid G class driving license.
  • You are a safe driver with a clean driving record
