The primary purpose of this position is to provide Center level surveillance and policy and procedural guidance related to Item Management Control Systems: AF Master Item Identification Data Base (D043), USAF/FLIS Edit and Routing System (D143C), AFMC Provisioning System (D220), Supply Support Request Advice-Consumable items (D169), Cataloging and Standardization for Provisioning System (D155), Logistics Reassignments, and Initial Requirements Determination (D200H). The position serves as Lead over lower grade journey person(s) in providing guidance and coordination on assigned workload.

Duty 1: Performs technical and administrative team lead duties over primarily employees on a regular and recurring basis for 25% or more of the time over subordinate positions predominantly classifiable in the Supply Group at the journey level or higher by identifying, distributing, assigning and balancing workload and tasks amongst employees by skill level, proficiency and/or occupational specialization, making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of subordinate work assignments.

Duty 2: Consistently exercises independent judgment in directing and assigning work amongst employees by using determinative factors such as team members' expertise, experience, competence, workload availability, work priorities and team member functional development.

Duty 3: Plans, develops, organizes, administers, evaluates, and coordinates supply system programs.

Duty 4: Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Additional Position Requirements:

1. The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

2. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

2. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.

3. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.

4. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.

5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.

6. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.

7. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.

8. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
