Lead Gas Turbine EngineerPosition SummaryIn this role, the candidate will be responsible for the design and the drawing release of various gas turbine components and subassemblies, including bearings, seals, gears, and splines. The successful candidate will perform risk assessments via hand calculations or analysis to identify any concerns of releasing the parts into production prior to a formal design review. The individual must have the ability to successfully interface with manufacturing engineering and supply chain to ensure parts have been designed for manufacturability.

Position Responsibilities- Design of gas turbine parts for aeroderivative turbines (LM6000/LM2500)
- Manufacturing processes of gas turbine parts for aeroderivative turbines (LM6000/LM2500)
- Work with Operations, Supply Chain and Quality during the manufacturing or procurement of gas turbine parts
- Lead third party design consultants for detailed design of gas turbine parts
- Maintain compliance with engineering codes, standards, and regulations
- Interface as technical authority with field service team for gas turbine parts
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 Years of Mechanical Design Experience
- In-depth design and manufacturing knowledge of Gas Turbine bearings, gears, seals, splines and actuation systems
- Experience reviewing and/or releasing Engineering Drawings
- Ability to work with others to resolve complex problems
- Capability to perform hand calculations to assess design risk
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.

Desired Qualifications- MS Mechanical, Aerospace or Equivalent Engineering
- Minimum 5 Years of Gas Turbine Design and Manufacturing Experience
- GD&T Experience per ASME Y14.5
- New-make manufacturing and repair processes of aeroderivative turbines (LM6000/LM2500)
