Regions is seeking a Lead, Genetic Counselor individual with strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within our Pathology Lab.
As a member of the genetic counseling services team, you will support the mission, vision, and values of the HealthPartners system of care and comply with relevant policies and procedures of the organization. In this role you will support the genetic counseling services team by providing information, guidance, and technical support related to genetics/genetic testing for your assigned area of specialty. This role provides expertise related to genetics/ genetic testing to organizational leaders and staff, clinicians and care teams, patients, and insurance plan colleagues.
TheLead Genetic Counselor (GC)will work as member ofthe laboratory and genetic counseling teams. Primary duties include:

Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited graduate program
Three (3) years of experience as a genetic counselor in the applicable medical specialty
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Board-certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG)
Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (MBMP) as a Genetic Counselor, and licensed, or license obtained withing 6 months of employment, by the Wisconsin Genetic Counselors Affiliated Credentialing Board.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
5 years of experience as a Genetic Counselor in the applicable medical specialty.
