Job Summary

The Forecast Governance and Process Oversight Lead Analyst will support the governance framework for enterprise forecasting and budgeting activities, ensuring processes are well documented, consistently executed, appropriately monitored, and aligned to applicable policies, controls, and risk management expectations. This role will partner across Finance, Risk, Control, Technology, and business process owners to maintain forecasting and budget policies, process inventories, process maps, documentation standards, the forecast taxonomy, forecast health metrics, and Archer-related issue and control artifacts. The Lead Analyst will draft and maintain governance documentation, coordinate process intake and updates, monitor adherence to defined forecast lifecycle expectations, identify and escalate process health concerns, and support issue management activities in Archer.

Essential Job Functions

  • Own and maintain forecasting and budget documentation, including policies, standards, process inventories, process maps, taxonomy, SOPs, desktop references and supporting artifacts. Coordinate periodic reviews, updates, approvals, version control and stakeholder alignment to ensure documentation remains current, complete, auditable and aligned to the end-to-end forecast lifecycle. - (30%)
  • Lead process inventory and process mapping activities for forecasting and budget processes, including identification of process ownership, inputs, outputs, dependencies, control points, handoffs, documentation gaps and opportunities for standardization. Maintain alignment between process maps, forecast taxonomy, Archer process structures, governance artifacts and operational playbooks. - (25%)
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor forecast health measure that assess process adherence, documentation completeness, control execution, cycle readiness, timing, data and input availability, adjustment behavior, review and challenge completion, approval status and emerging governance risks. Prepare clear reporting, escalate material concerns and support remediation plans with process owners. - (25%)
  • Maintain Archer-related forecasting and budgeting issues, risk, control and process artifacts, including issue updates, action plan tracking, evidence collection, status reporting and coordination with control partners. Support governance routines that ensure issues are documented, monitored, escalated, remediated and closed in accordance with applicable standards. - (20%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in finance, financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, governance, controls, risk management, audit, project management or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Archer, enterprise risk management tools, policy governance, process mapping, controls documentation, issue management, or audit remediation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Analytics, Economics, Risk Management or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • 10-13 years of professional experience in finance, governance, FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, controls, process improvement, or financial project management.
  • Experience building or enhancing governance frameworks, processes, and controls within financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Strong process mapping and documentation experience, including SOPs, procedures, and governance artifacts.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$112,400.00 - $179,900.00

Full Salary Range for position:

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.


You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26.  New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period).  Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period.   Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
