Job Description

This role, within the Specialty Diagnostics Group supporting multiple divisions with global impact, leads data governance, financial systems, and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across the organization. Partnering with Business Units, FP&A, and Systems teams, it drives standardization of data hierarchies, metadata, and processes across ERP and enterprise platforms while supporting planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles. The position oversees system reconciliations, embeds governance into financial processes, and advances data strategies focused on centralization, automation, and visualization. It also leads a team of finance systems professionals, promoting data stewardship, user adoption, and continuous improvement, while serving as a key liaison between business and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions.

What you will do:
  • Drive implementation and standardization of tools, processes, and reporting solutions that facilitate key business insights across the groups through collaborative partnerships with Commercial, Business Unit, Divisional and Corporate FP&A teams.
  • Partner with Divisions, Group Functions and Corporate Systems team to deliver on the Group strategic roadmap by developing and implementing new functionality and Data governance of hierarchy and metadata across ERP and Systems
  • Own and improve systems process to ensure the accuracy of revenue, COGS, OCOGS, OPEX and MCF across actuals, forecast and AOP
  • Embed in the forecast, AOP, margin move and restatement processes to provide support and ensure that financial system data and functionality are aligned with business needs
  • Lead General Ledger Analytics (GLA) integrations through complete SDLC.
  • Lead the monthly close reconciliation process between all systems (ERP, EDW, CDW, SPoT, CMR, HFM, and Planning)
  • Manage and develop a team of high-performance systems and FP&A experts that provide support for the finance user community in all facets of the planning and reporting environments.
  • Drive process improvements (PPI) across the organization (both internally amongst the systems team as well as externally with the user community)
  • Support end-user requests and resolve user's issues during the close process
  • Champion user competency and adoption of new tools and techniques to ensure that solutions are consistently implemented into all levels of the finance organization through training, onboarding and user engagement.
  • Investigate, analyze and partner with Corporate and LSG systems to solve technical issues.
  • Support and advocate for the overall data strategy of centralization, consistency, automation and visualization.

How will you get here:

Education
  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with experience in financial systems, computing, and/or data sciences preferred.
  • Equivalent years of professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Experience
  • 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, or IT at a large company.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Experience with E1, SAP, Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Cognos, or similar systems with an emphasis on acting as a super user in those applications
  • Knowledge of General ledger Analytics (GLA) highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of the budgeting/forecasting process and associated key performance indicators
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements while working as a liaison between business and technical teams
  • Organized, meticulous, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal & written communication.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the accuracy of information
  • Customer-centric, focused on providing proactive systems solutions to drive business performance
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interface with senior management
  • Experience with Python or other coding languages considered a plus


Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00-$194,950.00.
