Lead Finance Transformation Data Analyst

About the RoleThe
Lead Finance Transformation Data Analyst is responsible for building out reporting packages around core metrics and partnering closely with FP&A leaders to stand up scalable, repeatable reporting that does not yet exist. This role plays a critical part in maturing the organization's data practice — developing a reporting playbook, producing consistent monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial outputs, and driving improvements to how financial data is structured, accessed, and used across the enterprise.
Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do
- Partner with FP&A leaders to identify reporting gaps and build scalable, repeatable reporting packages centered on core financial and operational metrics.
- Design and maintain a comprehensive reporting playbook that standardizes processes, definitions, and outputs across the finance function.
- Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports and data deliverables to support executive and operational decision-making.
- Evaluate and improve existing data practices, ensuring financial data is structured, reliable, and accessible in a consistent and scalable way.
- Collaborate with IT and Finance Systems teams to leverage tools including MS SQL, Azure, and data warehouse environments to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Analyze large datasets and develop visual dashboards that surface real-time financial insights and support FP&A storytelling and strategic planning.
Technology Tools
- MS SQL — experience querying and managing relational databases.
- Microsoft Azure — familiarity with cloud-based data and analytics services.
- Data Warehouse — general experience working within data warehouse environments to support financial reporting and analytics.
Role Essentials — What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial systems, or data analytics roles.
- Demonstrated experience building repeatable financial reporting packages and partnering with FP&A or finance leadership teams.
- Expert Excel skills and experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in process mapping, data documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
What We'd Like to See — Preferred Skills
- Experience designing and maintaining financial reporting playbooks or standardized reporting frameworks.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and advanced analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ERP, EPM, or data warehouse platforms in a finance context.
- Proven ability to work independently to stand up new processes and reporting capabilities from the ground up.
- Experience driving data practice improvements, including data governance, definitions, and quality standards.
