Responsible for supporting strategic communications and stakeholder engagement efforts that advance the organization’s public policy objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Typical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Policy Analysis and Legislative Advocacy: Analyze legislation, regulatory issues, and public policy developments. Advocate for the company’s regulatory agenda during public hearings, meetings with state legislators, and discussions with legislative staff.
Stakeholder and Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and third-party coalitions. Represent the company on local boards and commissions and serve as a visible company representative in the communities it serves. Coordinate with internal teams, including Legal, Network, and Finance, to develop regulatory strategy, conduct regulatory analysis, and support data-driven decision-making.
Event Coordination and Community Relations: Organize and manage community events that strengthen relationships between the company, community members, and elected officials. Promote company initiatives and help address constituent and community concerns.
Liaison and Communication:Serve as a primary regulatory liaison with state commissions, intervenors, and internal stakeholders, as well as federal regulatory agencies such as the FCC, by responding to inquiries, facilitating communication, advancing regulatory positions, and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
Broadband and Grant Program Support:Provide regulatory support related to state broadband regulatory initiatives and requirements, including BEAD and other grant programs.
Legislative & Regulatory Support:Manage and coordinate state regulatory proceedings across AT&T’s Northeast and Midwest states, including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia, and West Virginia. This role will also have responsibility for one or more Midwest states. Responsibilities include matters involving state universal service fund rulemakings, Lifeline, collections actions, compliance reporting, and force majeure filings.
Additional Responsibilities: Support activities related to Political Action Committee (PAC) processes, internal collaboration, strategy development, lobbying efforts, negotiations, constituent issue resolution, grant management, and other duties as assigned.
An experienced professional recognized as a subject matter expert who uses broad and in-depth knowledge to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy and influences executive-level decisions. Mentors less experienced team members, implements long-term plans that impact the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, such as a BS or BA, preferred. 5+ years of related experience desired. Certification may be required in some areas.
