Job Summary

The Lead - ERM Specialist will support second-line oversight of the BSA/AML, OFAC, and Fraud compliance programs. This role will partner across the first and second lines to provide effective challenge, perform monitoring and testing, support risk assessments, and help ensure compliance with regulatory expectations for first-line activities. The Lead will also maintain a strong control environment through collaboration, analysis, reporting, and execution of oversight activities.

Essential Job Functions

• Support oversight of BSA/AML, OFAC and Fraud risk management programs, including customer and enhanced due diligence (CDD/EDD), customer identification (CIP), transaction monitoring, sanctions compliance, FACT Act and fraud risk. - (25%)
• Perform testing, monitoring, and thematic reviews to assess the effectiveness of first line processes and controls. - (25%)
• Assist in enterprise and targeted risk assessments across financial crimes domains, identifying inherent and residual risks. - (20%)
• Support preparation of reporting and materials for governance committees and senior leadership. - (15%)
• Participate in projects and initiatives to strengthen compliance frameworks and processes. - (15%)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 8+ years of experience in consumer credit, banking compliance and/or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Risk, Compliance or Legal.
• CAMS (ACAMS)
• CFE (ACFE)
• CRCM (ABA)
• 10+ years of experience in consumer credit, banking compliance and/or a related field.
• Experience with MS Office

Work Environment

• Normal office environment. (Remote or Hybrid), 3 to 4 days per month are required in office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.

$112,400.00 - $179,900.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.

Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
