Full Job Description
Serves as a strategic and technical lead who drives the strategy and execution of Epic EHR application configuration, optimization, and sustainment across the health system. Addresses issues of diverse scope and complexity, overseeing complex projects from start to implementation. Mentors and coaches team members, exercises considerable judgement on high-impact decisions, and collaborates strategically with leadership to define and implement the long-term vision for Epic applications, ensuring system integrity and compliance. Highly Preferred: • EPIC PROFESSIONAL BILLING Certification Job Responsibility 1.Participates in the strategic planning, execution, and long-term vision for Epic EHR application configuration, optimization, and sustainment across the health system, overseeing complex projects and recommending innovative solutions. 2.Oversees complex projects and activities from conception through successful implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and architectural standards. 3.Serves as the lead technical expert for assigned Epic modules, exercising considerable judgment to resolve highly complex issues with profound operational impact, and acting as the primary liaison and escalation point for critical challenges. 4.Collaborates directly with Epic technical support and manages resolution efforts. 5.Works with Manager to develop functional objectives and principles for the Epic team, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring system integrity, security, and compliance, and contributing to broader departmental and divisional strategy for technology utilization. 6.Establishes daily priorities and provides expert work guidance to Epic analysts, ensuring timely and high-quality task completion, while contributing to personnel decisions encompassing hiring, promotion, and performance evaluations. 7.Mentors, coaches, and trains analysts on advanced technical skills, methodologies, and problem-solving approaches. 8.Evaluates and recommends new processes, tools, techniques, and services that enhance Epic application performance, user experience, and operational efficiency. 9.Performs related duties as required.
