  • Develop or support business cases, alternatives analyses, ROI assessments, trade studies, technology evaluations, and recommendations for new technologies and services.
  • Guide development and review of System Design Documents, Detailed Design Documents, technical requirements, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and other engineering artifacts.
  • Ensure architectures address security, scalability, resiliency, interoperability, performance, flexibility, operational supportability, and alignment with client standards.
  • Work with network, cloud, security, identity, mobility, collaboration, and operations teams to resolve cross-domain design issues and transition approved solutions into production.
  • Apply Agile and Scrum practices to architecture and engineering initiatives and communicate technical recommendations clearly to both executive and engineering audiences.
  • Mentor architects and engineers and provide practical technical leadership during reviews, proofs of concept, modernization efforts, and complex issue resolution.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a closely related technical field.
    • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, at least 15 years of relevant IT architecture and engineering experience is required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading enterprise architecture or solution architecture for complex, integrated IT environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud architecture and integration in a hybrid/multi cloud environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience translating business and functional requirements into architecture decisions, standards, designs, and implementation guidance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing business cases, technology recommendations, or ROI/alternatives analyses.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Federal security, compliance expectations and secure-by-design architecture principles.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI access

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Architecture experience spanning several of the following: enterprise networking, hybrid or multi-cloud, identity and access management, mobility, collaboration, application integration, monitoring/logging, or automation.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks or modeling practices such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, DoDAF, or equivalent practical methods.
  • Experience supporting Federal modernization, engineering-to-operations transition, technical governance, or architecture review boards.
  • Relevant cloud, architecture, security, or networking certification.
  • Experience supporting DHS, CISA, or another highly regulated or classified Federal environment.
