Job Description Summary
The Lead Wind Fleet Engineer - Electrical and Controls, will troubleshoot field issues, anticipate and contain similar issues across the fleet, identify and provide technical engineering solutions to field technicians, internal functions including engineering and supply chain, and customers of GE Vernova wind turbine fleet.

All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, supporting issue resolution, supporting root case analysis, and developing standard dispositions for field issues. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical Engineering Solutions / Repairs / Escalation for issues that have been problematic and escalated from Services team

  • Identify and develop turbine/farm and fleet-level tasks to drive improved fleet availability and reliability.
  • Developing in-depth troubleshooting knowledge for multiple sub-system. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  •  Contributes to cross-functional technical discussions with new ideas. Anticipate and responds to customer concerns and questions.
  • Work with first level support to proactively identify failure trend in an early phase and to initiate corrective actions

  • Provide technical supervision for retrofits and validation of performance increase
  • Support the Functional Technical Support during Root Cause Analysis (RCA) programs
  • Support productivity improvements within Customer Solutions and across the Wind business
  • Lead development of proactive technical solutions to prevent issues prior to becoming large business cost drivers
  • Lead executive-level internal and external stakeholder reviews and technical discussions Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Fleet Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
