Summary:

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Engineering Technician VI to support advanced shipboard electronic systems and technical assessment activities in Hawaii. This senior-level technician role provides expertise in radio-frequency systems, tactical communication links, electronic warfare technologies, and related shipboard equipment. The technician will support testing, troubleshooting, training, and technical evaluations that contribute to the readiness and effectiveness of maritime electronic systems.

Work Location: Oahu, Hawaii - Naval Station Pearl Harbor

• Hands-on involvement with a wide range of radio-frequency systems, tactical data links, and electronic systems

What You Will Do:
• Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of shipboard radio-frequency systems, tactical data links, and electronic warfare-related equipment
• Lead planning, testing scenario development, and analyzing test data while participating on board technical reviews, and providing feedback for Electronic Warfare systems testing and training platforms.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis on complex electronic and communication subsystems
• Support real-time combat system test and evaluation/training services to measure, sustain, validate and optimize operational readiness.
• Support technical evaluations, system performance assessments, and readiness checks
• Provide technical input for the preparation of test documentation, reports, and system records
• Assist with planning and execution of equipment checks, test events, and operational demonstrations
• Deliver training, guidance, and support to personnel involved with communications or electronic systems operations
• Support surge technical requirements or additional assessment activities as directed by mission needs
• Ensure equipment configurations, maintenance activities, and system checks follow established technical standards

What We're Looking For:

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • 10 years of experience with shipboard radio-frequency systems, tactical communication/data link technologies, electronic warfare systems, or electronic support-related equipment
  • Experience conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and operational checks on shipboard electronic systems
  • Strong ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and system documentation
  • Experience training, guiding, or supporting personnel in electronic system operation or maintenance
  • Proficiency in identifying system faults and implementing corrective actions
  • Strong analytical skills, technical judgment, and attention to detail
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance


Preferred Experience:
• Associate's degree
• Completion of U.S. military training related to radio-room operations, electronic warfare, or electronic systems maintenance
• Experience with cryptographic equipment or secure communication devices
• Familiarity with maritime technical environments or shipboard system integration
• Experience supporting technical evaluations or readiness assessments in a military or defense-related setting
