Description

As a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer, you will lead project teams to create world-class designs for both new and retrofit projects on a variety of projects. The Electrical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to client requirements, industry standards, and budget constraints.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Lead electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Modify and review production drawings.
  • Design electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.
  • Apply strong knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
  • Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.
  • Efficiently utilize a number of design software tools to perform engineering calculations and physical plant designs.
  • Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations in support of project execution.
  • Act as a field engineer on construction sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. May also have bachelor's degree in electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. A master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of electrical equipment design ANSI and IEEE Standards. Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with leading electrical discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred.

Compensation

$150,000.00-230,000.00 Yearly

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
