    • Hazardous area layouts (as applicable)
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to Electrical Designers and Design Technologists.
  • Review and check design deliverables for quality, constructability, and compliance with project standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., CSA, NEC, IEC, client standards, and project-specific requirements).
  • Support Electrical Engineers with the interpretation and implementation of design requirements into detailed design drawings and models.

Project & Team Leadership
  • Lead a small team of Electrical Designers and coordinate daily design activities and priorities.
  • Plan and assign work, monitor progress against schedule and budget, and proactively identify and resolve resourcing or delivery risks.
  • Act as the primary design point of contact for the electrical discipline on assigned projects or work packages.
  • Participate in project planning, design reviews, model reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Interface with construction, procurement, and commissioning teams to support constructability and execution planning.

Coordination & Collaboration
  • Coordinate closely with other discipline leads and designers (piping, civil/structural, mechanical, instrumentation, and process) to ensure integrated, clash-free designs.
  • Support 3D model coordination and interdisciplinary design reviews.
  • Incorporate client feedback and manage design changes in accordance with project change management processes.

Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Promote a strong safety culture in design, including consideration of safe access, maintenance, and constructability.
  • Support continuous improvement of design standards, tools, templates, and workflows within the Electrical discipline.
  • Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior designers through coaching and technical guidance.
