Job Description

As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in leading and managing electrical engineering projects. You will be accountable for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. The lead engineer will provide technical expertise, guidance, and facilitation to the team, ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, improve processes, and achieve project objectives.

You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Huntsville, AL location on an on-site work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced electrical engineering solutions. Your technical guidance, project management skills, and dedication to excellence will contribute to the company's success, reputation, and growth in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and facilitation to the team members
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
• Design and develop electrical systems and components including PCB's
• Mentor junior engineers
• Work closely with technicians during building of prototypes
• Work with other engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders on continuous quality improvement
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as electrical, electronics, science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• 6+ years in electrical design including power supplies, power generation, and pump/valve control systems
• Prior experience leading other engineers and technicians
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, practices, and standards

WE VALUE
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience in Design For Excellence (Design for manufacturability, assembly, testability, reliability, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and project management abilities
• Experience creating military style cable harnesses and wiring diagrams
• Experience with MIL-STD-1275, and MIL-PRF-GCS600A
