Full Job Description

SEL is seeking an experienced EHS Lead Professional to provide leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs that protect our people, facilities, and communities. In this role, you will partner with leaders and teams across the organization to drive compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO management system standards while fostering a proactive culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship.

The EHS Lead will oversee key EHS initiatives, provide technical guidance and mentorship, lead risk reduction efforts, and support strategic objectives that enhance operational excellence. This position is responsible for evaluating program effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable solutions that prevent injuries, reduce environmental impacts, and strengthen organizational performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine SEL's EH&S systems and programs to comply with federal, state, and local regulations and SEL requirements; proactively report and respond to new requirements and industry trends.

  • Own multiple programs that ensure safety, compliance, and environmental protection; programs serve diverse customer base with broad scope.

  • Collaborate with and balance the needs of various stakeholders to understand problems and needs.

  • Lead cross functional teams to create company-wide solutions within areas of expertise. Act as subject matter expert, including negotiations with regulatory agencies.

  • Respond to job related customer inquiries, questionnaires, surveys, requirements, issues, and any environmental incidents.

  • Participate in or lead internal audits and compliance inspections and identifies actions necessary to meet regulatory and ISO 14001 and 45001 standard requirements.

  • Perform EH&S review/approval as part of the Management of Change (MOC) process.

  • Manage active hazard control and accident prevention programs; facilitate incident investigations through root cause analysis and corrective action solution design or recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a EH&S related field or Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Professional certification, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), etc.

  • Minimum 5 years management experience

  • Subject matter expertise in one or more EH&S programs

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications

  • Superior organizational skills and high attention to detail

  • Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EH&S experience in electronics manufacturing environment

  • ISO 45001 and/or 14001 internal auditor experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs unassisted and lift and carry up to 20 lbs

Pay Range Data -$115,300.00 - 170,400.00 USD Annually

We set starting pay based on job-related factors such as your experience, training, knowledge, and skills. We are looking to fill this position at thePOSITIONlevel, and we welcome applicants with a range of experience. Depending on your background, we may consider you for a different level, with compensation aligned accordingly.
