Position SummaryThe Signify Health Strategy & Innovation team is responsible for shaping the company's long-term strategy, discovering opportunities to accelerate growth, and identifying and testing net new offerings or capabilities. The team serves in an advisory capacity to Signify's Executive Leadership Team (ELT) - partnering closely with leaders to evaluate challenges and opportunities, facilitate decision-making, and execute early-stage proofs of concept.
The Lead Director, Strategy & Innovation will play a pivotal role in translating Signify Health's long-term vision into actionable growth strategies and innovative service offerings. Reporting to the team's Executive Director, you will focus on market research, problem framing, solution design, and the development of compelling business cases for new opportunities. The role will have high visibility across multiple functions, including Product, Operations, Client Success, Clinical, Finance, and Signify's ELT.
This leader must bring expertise at the intersection of clinical care delivery and technology. You will be tasked with aligning industry trends to company capabilities and pressure-testing next-generation product ideas through in-depth analysis and "fail-fast" methodologies. Ideal candidates are autonomous, creative, and entrepreneurial thinkers who can collaborate effectively across functions and with executive leadership.
Position ResponsibilitiesGrowth Opportunity Ideation and Vetting- Market Intelligence: Act as the 'tip of the spear' for market intelligence, translating evolving healthcare landscape trends and policy developments into business implications and growth opportunities
- Ideation and Market Testing: Lead the strategic evaluation and piloting of next-generation products and capabilities, utilizing lean startup approaches to validate solutions for market readiness and revenue growth.
- Market Sizing and Commercial Modeling : Conduct rigorous market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM), competitive benchmarking, and commercial modeling to determine the long-term financial viability and ROI of new strategic plays.
- Partnerships Evaluation:Play a lead role in evaluating strategic partnerships; drive comprehensive capability assessments, build/buy/partner decisions, and contracting
- Strategic Roadmap Alignment:Ensure net-new product concepts and growth initiatives seamlessly integrate into Signify Health's corporate planning cycles and CVS Health long-range strategic objectives
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration- Cross-Functional Mobilization: Form and lead agile, matrixed working groups across Product, Clinical, Operations, and Finance to rapidly pressure-test hypotheses and drive initiatives from initial concept to executive sign-off
- Data-Driven Storytelling:Turn complex financial outputs, market data, and strategic hypotheses into clean, persuasive presentations and narratives for senior leadership.
- Executive Influence: Steer highly effective executive meetings, adapting in real time to drive decisions and positioning oneself as a trusted advisor to Signify's ELT and cross-CVS Health enterprise leadership.
Required Qualifications- 8+ Years of Experiencein a dynamic, fast-moving profession such as management consulting or corporate strategy
- 5+ years of Healthcare Industry Experience: Provider sector experience, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid populations and regulatory environment
- Financial Modeling Experience:Comfort with market sizing and commercial modeling to determine ROI and long-term viability
- Strategic & Analytical Intuition:Highly strategic thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity, simplifying complex problems, and backing up strategic hypotheses with data.
- Executive Presence:Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including a proven track record of delivering structured presentations to ELT-level audiences and driving decisions.
- Ability to Travel up to 20% (otherwise remote)
Preferred Qualifications- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of additional relevant healthcare domains (home health, diagnostics and preventive services, pharma, population health)
- Location:Chicago or New York City is preferred, but not required
Education- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degree is highly preferred (MBA, MPH, or MHA)
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
