Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to support a company focused on developing next-generation air traffic management and automation capabilities through a hybrid cloud platform supporting critical national infrastructure. This position is on-site in
Gaithersburg, MD; Egg Harbor Township, NJ; or Eagan, MN (hybrid schedule available based on location). The Lead DevSecOps Engineer will lead the development and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines while supporting modern software delivery and platform engineering initiatives.
This is an opportunity to support mission-critical systems that impact millions of air travelers while helping shape the future of aviation technology.Responsibilities for the Lead DevSecOps Engineer include:- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting continuous integration, testing, and deployment efforts
- Manage Kubernetes environments, containerized applications, and cloud-based infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies
- Implement DevSecOps best practices including security scanning, software supply chain security, artifact management, and vulnerability remediation
- Develop automation solutions for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, logging, and operational support
- Collaborate with software development teams to improve deployment reliability, platform performance, developer experience, and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications for the Lead DevSecOps Engineer include:- 4+ years of experience supporting DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure environments
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions; Kubernetes; Docker; and Terraform
- Strong Linux administration skills, scripting experience with Bash and/or Python, and knowledge of networking and security best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Compensation for the Lead DevSecOps Engineer include:Salary Range: $87,100 - $157,450 depending on experience
