Full Job Description
Dentologie's Evanston dental practice is seeking an experienced, engaging Lead Dentist (with at least eight years of practice experience) to lead their exceptional team!

Our digital, seven operatory Dentologie Evanston practice has strong patient flow, an in-house hygiene team, leading tech (see below) and a stable office staff. Dentologie administrative and operational support allows established doctors to focus on what they do best, providing excellent care to patients. Dentologie also provides significant support for all non-clinical tasks, including HR, finance, marketing & practice development, procurement, compliance, among others.

A Dentologie Lead Dentist sets the tone for the practice in numerous ways including delivering high-quality comprehensive dentistry, supporting team morale, holding team members accountable to be their best, creating an excellent environment for patients, and in driving overall practice performance.

A Lead Dentist can expect a long-term focused compensation and benefits package, including:

Technology and equipment:
  • Dentrix Ascend (Cloud Based)
  • 2D: Dexis sensors. 3D: Dexis OP3D
  • Scanning: iTero 5D Plus at all locations.
  • Milling: Glidewell FastMill (Zirconia and hybrid options). 3D Printing: Glidewell FastPrint (Nightguards, retainers, etc.)
  • Chairs: DCI 5 series with built in electric motor for both restorative and endodontic procedures. Piezos are built into each chair along with backup carts
  • Restorative materials: Mostly Kerr brand. Burs: Kerr/Coltene/SS White
  • Clear Aligner brand: Invisalign. All retainers are exclusively Vivera

Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation with patients and discuss and treat dental concerns, perform regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establish a comprehensive treatment plan for better dental hygiene and positive restorative outcomes.
  • Perform dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and filling cavities.
  • Apply preventative measures for teeth, such as sealants or whiteners.
  • Prescribe medications such as pain medications or antibiotics.
  • Keep accurate records relating to the patient's oral health and the tx rendered to them.
  • Manage positively and communicate with team to provide outstanding care to patients.
  • Routine follow-up with patients whom you've provided treatment via phone or email.
  • Manage both patient experiences and patient expectations to create a positive outcome.

Qualifications:
  • Active IL dental license plus at least eight years of practice experience
  • Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and healthcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to keep detailed records.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools, thorough tx planning skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to manage dental complications for any procedure performed on a patient.
  • Implant placement/advanced certification if placing implants or performing specialty work.
  • Ability to adapt to Dentologie's learning environment and be willing to accept constructive feedback and guidance - eager to further enhance your skillset.
