Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Lead Data Center Controls Engineer - Power Systems to join our growing team. In this high-impact role, you will lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of power systems protection and control solutions for our hyperscale and MTDC customers using PLC's, RTUs, Automation controllers, HMI's, Multi-function Protection Relays, and Data Concentrators from all major OEM's.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. This role offers paid overtime (premium pay) and a company vehicle!

What you'll do:
• Lead the execution of data center power control projects, including design, engineering, software development, simulation, factory testing, site acceptance testing, and support for customer emergencies.
• Drive project planning and delivery by partnering with Project Managers and engineering teams to develop schedules, resource plans, functional design documents, sequences of operation, I/O lists, and network architecture.
• Provide technical and organizational leadership by assigning work, coordinating engineering resources, ensuring documentation quality and consistency, and maintaining project records on PSC SharePoint.
• Support business growth and operational readiness through collaboration with Negotiation Application Engineers on proposals and with Operations leaders to ensure resource availability, training, and project execution capability.
• Advance organizational excellence by leading standardization efforts, establishing design and execution best practices, mentoring new engineers, and providing performance feedback for project team members.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with 7+ years of controls experience in power distribution applications, including centralized and distributed transfer schemes OR a Master's degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of the required experience
• Available to travel 30% of time
• This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton's Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver's license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.

Preferred qualifications:
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
• PE License.

Position Criteria:
• Extensive experience in medium-voltage protection, automation, and IEC 61850-based systems, including protection schemes, FLISR, relay testing, substation network design, cybersecurity, redundant communications (PRP/HSR/RSTP/SDN), time synchronization, and integration of protection and control devices from leading manufacturers.
• This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton's Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver's license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.
• Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
• Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton's safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any requiredannual re-certifications thereafter.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
• Advise customers on technical opportunities/issues
