Full Job Description
The Royal Caribbean Group's Silversea Cruises Ltd brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Cost Optimization & Strategic Initiatives reporting to the President of Silversea Cruises.

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.

Position Summary:

The Lead, Cost Optimization & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for leading Brand-wide cost optimization, strategic initiatives, and PMO activities across all brand operations, relevant shared service areas, and cross-functional stakeholders, impacting both shoreside and shipboard activities.

This role drives transformational change through process optimization, cost efficiency, revenue enhancement, organizational redesign, and integration initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. The position manages high-profile, multi-departmental initiatives, ensures disciplined project execution, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead cost optimization and efficiency initiatives by identifying, assessing, and driving cost-saving and process-efficiency opportunities.
  • Serve as PMO for cost optimization programs, including initiative scoping, workplan development, timeline management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Partner with Operations (Hotel, Marine, Expedition, etc.), Shared Services, Strategy, and Transformation teams to proactively identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and spend reduction.
  • Own initiative tracking, governance, and reporting, including dashboards and scorecards summarizing milestones, risks, and financial impact.
  • Develop and validate financial business cases supporting cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Validate and track realized savings to ensure accuracy, sustainability, and appropriate financial treatment.
  • Support with the preparation of executive-level materials summarizing progress, key insights, financial outcomes, and risks.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-brand cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with Royal Caribbean Group Shared Services.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Strategy and FP&A teams to develop and manage the 5-year financial outlook, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Build strong relationships with Directors, AVPs, VPs and Company Officers.
  • Function as primary liaison between brand leadership and corporate and shared service partners with respect to cost optimization initiatives.
  • Influence without authority and align diverse stakeholder groups toward common goals.
  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets, as needed.
  • Conduct financial and economic feasibility analyses for project alternatives.
  • Track cost savings, benefits realization, and ROI of optimization initiatives
  • Apply strong analytical, financial modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, preferably within hospitality, travel, or leisure industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, capital planning, variance analysis, ratio analysis, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates an elevated level of accountability, taking ownership of tasks and delivering accurate, timely results.
  • Resourceful and initiative-taking in seeking solutions, continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Eager to learn, receptive to coaching, and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Possesses a collaborative mindset, effectively working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
