Lead Contract Manager CCC-6 Salary: $117,198 - $134,487

Reporting to the Manager, Contract Management, the Lead Contract Manager is responsible for oversight of CCC's most complex contracts and procurement related to goods, services, construction and infrastructure projects in partnership with Canadian exporters.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage complex and highly specialized contract lifecycle (terms and conditions, cost, schedule) of export contracts from award through to close-out including complex financial arrangements and managing exporter and buyer issues and relationships
  • Participate with pursuit team and provide input to business development on contract structuring based on past practices
  • Lead meetings with exporters and buyers in support of negotiations and issue resolution including contract amendments
  • Provide input on exporter performance for formal review processes; provide advice, expertise and guidance to exporters to support success in pursuits and delivery
  • Update project-specific financials to track progress and identify risks; develop mitigation plans
  • Complete contract monitoring and status reporting and other reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the preparation of certification requirement documentation, permits and licensing for suppliers and notices to government departments
  • Conduct site visits / meetings and program reviews to ensure project performance is in accordance with the contract.
  • Represent CCC at external events such as trade shows and trade development programs - liaise with potential and existing exporter and partner base, including Canadian government representatives, deliver information sessions
  • Participates in the assessment, analysis, and development of initial pursuit Risk identification and then leads the mitigation of the contract risks and issues post award, for high-value or high-complexity procurements/contracts, providing guidance and recommendations to stakeholders and management.


What you'll bring to CCC

  • Completion of a post-secondary education in commerce or business administration
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in contracting and financial management
  • Knowledge of contract management practices in a domestic and international context which includes international law, contracting practices, financial management
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience in partnership and stakeholder relations
  • Knowledge of client /stakeholder relationship management including business development
  • English Essential, bilingualism preferred
