Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Content Strategy Consultant to serve as the content strategy lead on a large-scale digital transformation program for a global life sciences and diagnostics client. This engagement is focused on modernizing a complex enterprise website, moving from a legacy CMS to a modern, AI-ready platform built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Edge Delivery Services (EDS/DA.live).

This role combines strategic consulting, content expertise, and hands-on delivery leadership. You will serve as the primary content strategy voice on a cross-functional program team, partnering with experience design, requirements engineering, platform development, analytics, and the client's internal content and marketing teams to define and execute an end-to-end content transformation strategy.

The ideal candidate thrives in complex enterprise environments, has direct experience with AEM or DA.live structured content authoring models, and can confidently guide senior stakeholders through content strategy, governance, information architecture, migration planning, and AI-enabled content operations decisions.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Advisory
  • Serve as content strategy lead for the engagement, owning the content workstream from discovery through delivery and hypercare.
  • Conduct content assessments, audits, and discovery activities, including AI-assisted content inventory and analysis across a large-scale enterprise website.
  • Develop and evolve content strategy aligned to business objectives, user journeys, and platform capabilities.
  • Define content principles, governance frameworks, and editorial workflows that support structured, modular content authoring in DA.live.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and content-focused decision-making sessions with client business teams, marketing, and digital operations.
  • Develop SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) recommendations integrated into content strategy and content model design.

Information Architecture, Taxonomy & Content Modeling
  • Design future-state information architecture, site map, and navigation aligned to user journeys and SEO/AEO/GEO requirements.
  • Validate IA hypotheses through card sorting and tree testing exercises.
  • Develop content taxonomy and metadata model aligned to PIM product taxonomy (Stibo or equivalent) and structured content requirements for AEM Content Fragments and DA.live block architecture.
  • Define content attributes and metadata fields by content type to support personalization, search, and findability use cases.
  • Create and maintain a content model that maps directly to DA.live templates and reusable block components.

Content Disposition, Migration, and Governance
  • Lead content disposition framework development: establish criteria for retain, revise, consolidate, archive, or remove decisions across a large existing content catalog.
  • Develop URL and 301 redirect mapping strategy aligned to future-state IA.
  • Partner with platform and migration teams to define the content migration approach, planning the transition from legacy Oracle WCS/WCC to DA.live and AEM Content Fragments.
  • Define and oversee content optimization work (structured content standards, SEO/AEO/GEO formatting) across a defined set of existing pages.
  • Develop content governance operating model recommendations for ongoing DA.live authoring, including editorial workflows and content lifecycle processes.
  • Define localization governance, including multi-language content structure, translation workflow integration (SDL Trados/DA.live), and handling of natively authored non-English content.

AI-Enabled Content Transformation
  • Advise on and apply AI-enabled content operations, including AI-assisted auditing, content optimization, and content quality review workflows.
  • Evaluate content readiness for AI-powered search, AEO/GEO, and generative retrieval experiences.
  • Incorporate AI tools and emerging methodologies into delivery approach where appropriate and with human-in-the-loop review.

Consulting & Client Leadership
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with client content owners, marketing leads, and digital teams.
  • Present strategic recommendations to leadership audiences; prepare and lead content-focused working sessions.
  • Manage the content workstream independently, including planning, task coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity on content decisions within a fast-moving, multi-vendor program.
  • Operate within a specification-led agile delivery model, contributing to requirements artifacts, sprint ceremonies, and backlog grooming with traceability to business outcomes.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner closely with UX/experience design, requirements engineering, analytics, and platform development teams.
  • Ensure content strategy decisions are reflected in requirements artifacts (user stories, acceptance criteria) and design outputs.
  • Mentor and coach team members on content strategy methods and deliverable quality.
  • Contribute to reusable frameworks and methodology assets.
What Success Looks Like

Successful candidates will:
  • Own and drive the content workstream with minimal oversight from day one.
  • Deliver high-quality content strategy artifacts that are directly actionable by design and engineering teams.
  • Build credibility and trust with client stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Make well-reasoned content and IA decisions quickly in a high-velocity program environment.
  • Produce a content model, taxonomy, and governance framework that supports scalable, AI-ready content operations.
  • Help clients adopt new ways of working within a structured DA.live authoring environment.
  • Contribute to measurable program outcomes: improved findability, content quality, migration completeness, and platform readiness.

  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews with senior business and marketing audiences.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex content ecosystems into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments; comfortable contributing to requirements artifacts and sprint-based workstreams.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), DA.live, or Edge Delivery Services (EDS) authoring models.
  • Experience with PIM-aligned content modeling (Stibo, Informatica, Akeneo, or equivalent).
  • Experience defining localization governance and translation workflow processes for multilingual enterprise sites (8+ languages).
  • Familiarity with SDL Trados or equivalent translation management system integration.
  • Consulting or professional services background.
  • Experience with AI-assisted content auditing or content optimization workflows.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise search platforms (Coveo or equivalent) and content findability requirements.
  • Experience creating content governance operating models for large, distributed authoring teams.

Familiarity with GxP or regulated-industry content requirements is a plus
