THE BUSINESS

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

THE POSITION

As a Lead Chemical Process Engineer here at Honeywell, you will use your knowledge of chemical process engineering fundamentals to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will collaborate with world-renowned engineers to impact developing groundbreaking projects, expanding existing processes, and developing the next generation of Advanced Materials products by designing, testing, and validating products from pilot scale to market. Responsibilities

  • Support PreFEED and FEED development for projects including process scope and design solutions for growth, cost savings, and HSE projects
  • Develop process models, heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout, basic control schemes, and equipment specifications
  • Identify and mitigate technical and process safety risks during design
  • Provide onsite technical support during project construction, commissioning, startup, and product trials
  • Identify and evaluate process alternatives during design and justify process improvements with economic evaluations
  • Develop expertise with process chemistry and unit operations to enable scaleup of laboratory and pilot data to commercial design
  • Work with manufacturing sites to develop and implement productivity projects, demonstrated knowledge of engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Chemical Engineering
  • 6+ years of Process Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing sector
  • 6+ years of experience with Front End Loading (FEL) or Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
