You will report directly to our management team and you'll work out of our Tulsa, OK location on a hybrid work schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform process design work for Callidus Combustion Technologies, including Flares, Burners and Thermal Oxidizers (TOs), to produce various technical deliverables to support new proposal opportunities and equipment project execution.
  • Interface with sales teams and other engineering disciplines to achieve optimized design solutions which meet customer's technical requirements.
  • Work in a team environment to develop process deliverables including heat and material balances, PFDs and P&IDs, equipment sizing and utility summaries.
  • Run process simulation tools for design and alternate cases, size process piping, run hydraulics and develop project specifications including for all major equipment.
  • Support and document review of customer-issued technical specifications and develop lists of exceptions, clarifications and deviations as necessary.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with customers and convey UOP-Callidus position effectively and / or address difficult customer concerns.
  • Troubleshoot process engineering problems during initial startup.
  • Technically evaluate bids and participate in the supplier selection process with other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in 3D model review meetings, customer HAZOP, and other technical meetings supporting equipment project execution.
  • Leverage your knowledge of technology and work processes to develop technology-specific training plan content and coach less experienced engineers while executing projects in parallel.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and proposals, while also supporting development and maintenance of tool and design guidelines / documentation.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
  • 10+ years of Engineering experience, with significant relevant design knowledge of Combustion Technologies in Flares, Burners and / or TOs
  • Extensive process simulation experience using UniSim, combustion technology-specific standalone design programs, excel-based design tools, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.

  • Experience in sales support, engineering, process operations or technical service role within refining, petrochemical and gas processing industry.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and support tool infrastructure and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong focus on delivering results, identifying alternative solutions and opportunities for technology development and innovation.
  • Sense of good engineering judgement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the engineering work process, tools, and procedures
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to meet customer deadlines.
  • Strong presentation skills including MS Office, Leading Meetings, Customer Presentations
  • Experience leading meetings and presenting to customers
  • Ability to take on Team Lead and Project Manager activities
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) to support customer project meetings, as required
