Lead Cardiovascular Technologist Job Type: Full-Time

Client is seeking an experienced Lead Cardiovascular Technologist to support Cath Lab and Cardiovascular Imaging operations. Under the direction of the Department Manager/Director, the Lead Tech assumes responsibility for limited supervisory activities within the department while serving as a clinical, technical, and administrative resource for staff.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Cath Lab and interventional imaging experience, excellent technical competency, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-focused care within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCardiovascular & Interventional Imaging Support- Perform cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures
- Support Cath Lab procedures and imaging operations
- Ensure accurate imaging quality and patient safety standards
- Assist physicians and clinical teams during procedures
- Maintain compliance with department imaging protocols and standards
Leadership & Supervisory Support- Serve as a clinical and technical resource for department staff
- Support limited supervisory and operational responsibilities
- Assist with staff coordination and workflow management
- Promote adherence to department policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Support training and mentoring activities within the department
Patient Care & Safety- Deliver patient-focused care throughout imaging and Cath Lab procedures
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety practices
- Maintain BLS standards and emergency preparedness
- Support accurate patient documentation and procedural records
Operational & Technical Responsibilities- Operate cardiovascular imaging and radiologic equipment
- Ensure compliance with radiology and interventional imaging regulations
- Maintain technical competency and department standards
- Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Must-Have Qualifications- Graduate of a Radiology Imaging Technologist program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association
- Current California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
- Current BLS Certification - American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a hospital-based Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Imaging Technologist
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Strong technical and clinical competency in cardiovascular imaging procedures
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Eureka, California
Preferred Qualifications- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Certification
- Prior supervisory or lead technologist experience
- Experience working in high-volume Cath Lab environments
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Experience supporting operational workflow and department coordination
