Job Description Summary

The Lead Business System Analyst – Finance IT plays a pivotal role in shaping how artificial intelligence enhances finance IT systems and decision‑making. This role leads with an AI mindset—identifying, defining, and enabling AI‑driven solutions—while serving as the bridge between ET Finance IT, Enterprise Technology teams, and business stakeholders. The position ensures Finance IT platforms/systems are future‑ready, leveraging automation, advanced analytics, and emerging AI capabilities across various application landscapes within Finance Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Operations, and Enablement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead with an AI-first mindset to identify opportunities where artificial intelligence, automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent workflows can enhance Finance, Treasury, Tax, Cash Management, and Corporate Services processes.
  • Partner with Finance business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, emphasizing AI-enabled use cases such as forecasting, anomaly detection, reconciliations, process automation, decision support, and self-service analytics.
  • Translate complex finance, accounting, treasury, and tax requirements into clear technical specifications and AI-ready solutions for application development, data engineering, integration, and platform teams.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, data engineering, AI, cloud, and platform teams to design and deliver scalable finance technology solutions, data integrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Define and document data requirements for Finance systems, including ERP, EPM, Treasury, Tax, and reporting platforms, ensuring appropriate data quality, governance, lineage, security, and compliance standards are maintained.
  • Partner with quality assurance, testing, and business validation teams to define test strategies, validate system functionality, and assess AI-driven outputs against business and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic liaison between Finance business leaders and technology teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology investments, and delivery outcomes.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, AI capabilities, automation opportunities, and industry best practices that improve financial operations, controls, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Lead and support technology roadmaps, application portfolio management, and modernization efforts for Finance systems, including SaaS platforms, cloud solutions, integrations, and enterprise applications.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities through stakeholder engagement, change management, training, documentation, and effective communication strategies across Finance organizations.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance obligations relevant to finance and corporate systems.
  • Promote responsible AI practices, including transparency, governance, explainability, data protection, and ethical use of AI across finance technology solutions and business processes. ​


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT, data, or analytics‑focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate finance business and IT needs into AIaware functional and technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with datadriven systems, data integrations, and analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with financial, technical, and business stakeholders. ​

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience or strong conceptual understanding of AI and machine learning, including predictive modeling, NLP, or decision intelligence.
  • Experience supporting or partnering on AIenabled initiatives within finance or insurance domains.
  • Technical background in software development, data engineering, or analytics.
  • Exposure to financial data platforms and large‑scale data environments.
  • Experience with automation, data modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services organizations. ​

Compensation

The Salary for this position generally ranges between$100,000 - $125,000 annually.Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors includingqualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Companys discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO). Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
