Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant in Business Banking
In this role, you will:
Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in business/sales enablement, sales operations, content development, communications, or related functions, including proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a matrixed organization
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment
5+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or branch banking environments
Deep understanding of Small and/or Business Banking, including lending, deposits, and treasury management
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable content, enablement strategies, and communication plans
Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across multiple business lines in complex organizations
Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams with a focus on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Strong understanding of Business Banking products and services, including small business lending, deposits, treasury management, and client lifecycle management
Experience supporting or partnering with branch networks and field leadership to implement strategic initiatives and drive performance improvements
Ability to identify and execute opportunities to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and employee effectiveness within branch and business banking environments
Understanding of digital transformation efforts impacting branch and small business banking channels, including digital onboarding and omnichannel service delivery
Role Function and Key Responsibilities
The Lead Business Consultant – Growth Initiatives is a senior individual contributor responsible for driving the design, integration, and execution of strategic growth initiatives across Branch and Business Banking. This role ensures enterprise growth priorities are translated into scalable execution, enabling consistent frontline adoption and improved banker productivity, client acquisition, and relationship deepening.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive branch and Business Banker execution to deliver growth across deposits, card, lending, and referrals by aligning strategy, performance expectations, and frontline focus
• Establish and reinforce leadership routines, behaviors, and execution discipline to enable consistent, measurable growth outcomes
• Design and optimize Business Banker deployment strategies (e.g., DeNovo, targeted markets) to maximize coverage, capacity, and growth opportunity realization
• Develop and operationalize external engagement playbooks and growth initiatives that increase client acquisition, deepen relationships, and expand market presence
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable solutions while identifying and addressing execution gaps to improve adoption and performance
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
