What You'll Do Position SummaryThe Business Development Lead is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and advancing small to mid-sized provider groups that represent strong tuck-in acquisition opportunities. This individual owns the front half of the acquisition funnel, including Phase I activities, from initial prospecting through executive handoff, and remains actively involved through diligence and LOI support. This position blends field-based relationship building with disciplined pipeline management, working cross-functionally with the Business Development leadership team to ensure high-quality, strategically aligned acquisitions.
ResponsibilitiesProspect Identification and Initial Outreach
- Identify potential acquisition targets through market research, mapping, and competitive analysis
- Conduct first contact with prospects and begin relationship-building efforts
- Confirm target alignment with Suvida acquisition criteria
- Conduct preliminary diligence via backchannel sources (brokers, Google reviews, market insights)
- Maintain accurate Salesforce documentation for all prospects and outreach activities
Build Strategic Relationships
- Cultivate relationships with physician owners and practice leadership
- Articulate Suvida's value proposition with credibility and professionalism
- Maintain consistent follow-up cadence to nurture long-cycle opportunities
- Represent Suvida in-market with executive presence
Qualify & Advance Opportunities
- Evaluate targets against proprietary Suvida criteria
- Conduct backchannel diligence (broker insights, reputation review, market feedback)
- Maintain rigorous Salesforce documentation and pipeline discipline
- Advance qualified opportunities into Executive Review
Support Transaction Execution
- Present opportunities to Market Leadership and BD Committee
- Support early-stage diligence, data gathering, and issue resolution
- Assist with LOI preparation
What You'll BringKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities- 5+ years in business development, corporate development, or healthcare growth
- Experience engaging physician owners or healthcare operators preferred
- Exposure to M&A diligence processes preferred
- Strong CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements- Bachelor's degree required; candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered.
