Summary:The Lead Business Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business to gain in-depth understanding of organization business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges.
The LBA is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting other project managers on larger more complex projects related to operational business functions that affect team members and providers at the market level.
The LBA mentors other Business Analysts in the BI team, supports Data Governance and Reference data tasks. Supports standardization of analysis processes such data profiling, source analysis, and documentation. The lead business analyst is also accountable for documenting data quality or identified system issues with technical solutions. A lead business analyst must be equipped with communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to assist other business analysts and business professionals in improving the systems.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Under the direction of the Manager BI Team, LBA will assist in enabling the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data as a service (DaaS), standardized reporting and analytics, and self-service reporting to Florida Cancer Specialists.
- The LBA must be competent to meet with business unit leaders and analysts to elicit data- and reporting-related requirements.
- The LBA will be critical to ensure necessary data and functional and non-functional requirements are documented to enable the Informatics/BI team to operate in an Agile BI Analytics DevOps environment to assist business unit leaders in measuring success.
- Advanced relational database architecture understanding with practical reporting and analytics tool experience including SQL Visual studio, Reporting Services, and Integration Services preferred.
- The Senior BA is expected to engage professionally with users to elicit requirements and to provide Data Services. The LBA will use healthcare data knowledge to 'solutionize' how best to deliver informative insights. The goal of the BI Analyst is to continuously provide Data Services enhancements to further the ability of the organization to use information.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:- Education: - Bachelor's degree in business analytics, computer science, engineering, accounting, finance, management information systems or another related field Preferred
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience is required or the equivalent combination for education and experience.
- Previous Experience - Professional healthcare data related experience within clinical oncology preferred
EXPERIENCE: - Professional healthcare data experience within clinical oncology preferred.
- 6+ years in an active healthcare big-data integration experience with multiple heterogenous data sources with data cleansing and reference/master data management on an enterprise data warehouse to create a centralized 'trusted data' set for data analysis preferred.
- 6 years of SQL report writing with BI or statistical analysis preferred
