Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

  • This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
  • A relocation incentive may be authorized.

  • Financial Management Level II Certification.


Duties

Help

  • Research, compile and summarize data as needed to formulate or revise the annual budget.
  • Assist Budget Officer with Resource Planning Tool (RPT) monthly and uploads RPT each month into the Financial Management Information system (FMIS).
  • Draft procedural guidance to department, division, and clinic managers concerning the format for submission of annual estimates of funding needs.
  • Train or arrange for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Financial Management Level II Certification.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated systems to extract financial data for reports, analyzing budgets to resolve problems, and applying budgeting regulations or policies to advise management on a budgetary management system.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
